Steve's Septic Service is a locally owned business for over 30 years that was originated in McKinleyville, California by husband and wife team Steve and Mary Talloy. They started Steve's Septic Service out of their home in the early 1980's with one pump truck. Realizing that the subject matter needed a little humor, Mary came up with the slogan "#1 In The #2 Business!" which has continued to be a humorous catchy phase in our area. In the early 1990’s Steve and Mary were ready to move out of the area to be closer to their growing family. The business was offered to their neighbors Ron and Vicki Turner. An offer that Ron couldn’t pass up, the Turner family took on the pumping business. With their hard work, dedication and commitment to achieving customer satisfaction, Steve’s Septic Service became a well established business in the community. After 11 years Ron and Vicki decided to slow down and enjoy a retirement so Steve’s Septic Service was sold to their office manager Teresa Green. Having been raised in Humboldt County with previous business ownership experience, Teresa has been able to continue to provide the same quality service that Humboldt County residences have come to expect from Steve’s Septic Service. For the past six years Teresa and her family strive to be the leading septic service provider seeking continuing education in the industry. Steve’s Septic Service is and always will be “#1 In The #2 Business!”
